Manchester City supporters will be jumping for the chance to break out their famous Poznan goal celebration at Sunday’s Capital One Cup Final – where the crowd turn their back on the game, link arms and jump up and down. Now fans won’t need to miss any of the action when turning their backs thanks to a limited edition set of wing-mirrored sunglasses.
Credit card company and League Cup sponsor Capital One has created a one-off set of Poznan-proof glasses featuring specially in-built ‘rear-view mirrors’ designed to help fans keep their eyes on the prize while watching the Final at Wembley.
Manchester City fans adopted the novelty celebration following a Europa League meeting with Polish outfit Lech Poznan in October 2010, and several subsequent goal laden seasons has seen the back-to-front dance become a keen part of City fan culture.
